Former Zimbabwe Saints player Eddie Mukahanana, who is now living on Canada, recently acquired a Uefa A Licence and says he wants to coach the Zimbabwe Under-20 team.
The national Under-20 team is under the tutelage of Monomotapa coach Taurai Mangwiro.
The former Saints man holds the Uefa A Licence, A Licence from the Canadian Soccer Association, USSF B Licence from the United States Soccer Federation, and a KNVB (Royal Dutch Football Federation) International Coaching Certificate.
He said: “You know there is no amount of success that can ever be satisfying unless it is achieved at home amongst your own people.
I am considering moving my family and coming home if I get a coaching position with a Premier Soccer League team especially in the area of technical director where I would create a club academy.
“My travels and experience over here in Canada and the US have been mostly with the high performance youths between the age 12 and 15 years. Having watched and been part of a technical study group for the Fifa Under -20 World Cup when it was hosted by Canada, I’m interested in the Zimbabwe Under-20 set-up. There wouldn’t be anything better in my coaching career than to take the Under -20 to the World Cup.”
