Exciting entertainment line-up

There is a lot of excitement as people across the country are celebrating our fallen heroes, and the annual heroes’ gala, Heroesplush, will be held tonight at Gwanzura Stadium in one of the capital’s oldest suburbs, Highfield.

And there is no better way to usher party animals into the weekend. So, take out your dancing shoes and get ready to jive.

The star-studded event boasts of artistes from all local genres such as Jays Marabini, Comrade Chinx, Hosiah Chipanga, man of the moment Freddy “Kapfupi” Manjalima who has taken the country by storm with his Mai Nga hit off the album Juice Card.

Tryson Chimbetu, Josphat Somanje, Progress Chipfumo, Leonard “Kule” Mapfumo, Stunner, ExQ, Winky D and Dino Mudondo, among many others, will also be performing tonight at the gala.

Sulumani Chimbetu is also in Highfield at Mushandirapamwe Hotel tonight, just opposite Gwanzura Stadium where the gala is being held.

Bob Nyabinde aka, “Headmaster” has regained his voice and will tonight be belting it out at Jazz 105 following his Winter Jazz Festival performance, where he had to be helped out by fans who sang along to his music to make-up for his temporarily lost voice after what he said was a throat problem.

Tongai “Dhewa” Moyo is still unstoppable after that cancer scare, and backed by his Utakataka Express will be doing what he knows best at Plaza De Castilla in Greencroft, with Roderick Chemudhara as the supporting act.

The Whisky Party is on again today at the Ximex Bar and Grill, where it is set to be hosted by DJs Torne and Chaos whilst Touchline Entertainment takes Club Balcony by storm featuring DJ Seductive Gee, Tommy Dutch and Lazy B.

The entertainment fete in the capital also spills into the new joint in town, City Sports Bar, where Banyana Bafana dance group will be gyrating the night away.

Tomorrow its “aluta continua” at the City Sports Bar as the self-styled king of Zora Music Leonard Zhakata collaborates with Zimbabwe All Stars Band.
