Northern region in mid-week fixtures


While the Premier Soccer League (PSL) made a resolution to stop all mid-week fixtures, the Northern Region Division One will have a full league programme starting this afternoon with five matches lined up.
The battle for promotion in the league has remained very tight with the top four teams led by Harare City separated by just three points, 14 matches into the campaign.
The leaders travel to Chinhoyi to face Township Rangers, DTSV take on Hunters tomorrow while third-placed Sporting Manhenga face Blue Ribbon at Zimforce.
Harare City, who beat Kcee Feeds 2-0 over the weekend, lead the log standings with 30 points while DSTV Rangers are close behind in second place with 29 points.
Today (All matches start at 1500 hours): Aces Youth Academy v Cossy Rules (Dzivaresekwa), Air Zimbabwe Jets v Simba Stars (Italian Sports Club), Blue Swallows v Black Rhinos (Manyame), Flame Lily v Alaska (Tomilson Depot), Blue Ribbon v Sporting Manhenga (Zimforce), Township Rangers v Harare City (Chinhoyi)
Tomorrow: Karoi United v Kcee Feds (Karoi), Hunters FC v DSTV Rangers (GMB), Highfield United v Quick Turn (Italian Sports Club)
