GNU to do more on investment

Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai has acknowledged that the inclusive government has not done enough to create an environment conducive for investment.

He said this while addressing delegates at a conference on the Zimbabwe/African Opportunities Day in partnership with African Ambassadors Group hosted by the Zimbabwe National Chamber of Commerce.

He said that last year the country had inflows of about $700 million but since the Indigenisation Policy, the figures had gone down to almost zero. “We have politics influencing the economy yet it is supposed to be the other way round,” he said.
