A new film entitled Sores of Emmanuel, which highlights the economic and emotional challenges a single father faces when raising children, will soon be showing on the big screen in a few weeks time.
“Too much has been said on single motherhood and many films have centralised on HIV and Aids but we have come up with a different film that caters for all age groups,” said Charles Mutyavaviri, producer of the film.
“It is very difficult to secure funding. Mutyavaviri and I financed the project from our own pockets before we could secure funding,” said Edmore Ndlovu, writer and director of the film.
Actors featuring in the film include Edmore Sandifolo who features as Mambo Chabvonga in the drama Tiriparwendo, Charity Dlodlo, who appears as Amai Madziva in the soap Studio 263, Blessing Chimowa who featured in Gringo as Mbudziyadhura and ZBC news anchor Marion Shaba.
Mafriq, Caro Wutaunashe and Stunner provided soundtracks for the movie whose genre has been identified as a fast moving drama.
A première has been set for early April after which the movie will go straight to the cinemas around the country.
