HARARE giants Dynamos FC produced a dominant display to beat Agama FC 4-0 in a Castle Lager Premier Soccer League match at Rufaro Stadium yesterday.

A sparkling performance, secured by a first-half onslaught and a brace from Frank Agyemang, ensured the Glamour Boys collected maximum points in a one-sided contest as the era of Dynamos technical director Aristica Cioaba begins.

Dynamos signalled their intentions from the first whistle, dominating the opening 30 minutes and leaving the league debutants chasing shadows with neat passing combinations built from the back.

The breakthrough came in the 26th minute when centreback Isaac Landu connected brilliantly with a cross from left-back Abel Gwatidzo to send the home fans into celebration.

Gwatidzo then turned from provider to scorer, doubling the lead in the 35th minute. Spotting the Agama goalkeeper off his line, he unleashed a long-range effort that flew into the net, capping a fine individual performance.

With the visitors still reeling, Dynamos added a third three minutes later. Agyemang struck in the 38th minute to send the hosts into halftime with a 3-0 lead.

The second half saw Dynamos comfortably managing the game, though they were not finished yet.

Agyemang completed his brace from the penalty spot in the 88th minute to seal an emphatic 4-0 victory.

In a post-match interview, Cioaba praised the Glamour Boys for adapting to his philosophy of building play from the goalkeeper and progressing forward.

“I am happy for the boys who showed much confidence in this type of play. They followed the instructions,” he said.

“I liked their first 45 minutes, though they dropped slightly in the second half, giving chances to the opponents. We need to work very hard every day to improve and master this style of play. People have been saying Dynamos have no players, but let’s give these available guys a chance to impress,” Cioaba said.
