Highrange Football Club enjoyed a sweet moment on Sunday, winning the Harare Province Division Two A and B play-offs against Premier Soccer League champions Scottland’s Under-19 side at Rufaro Stadium to secure the province’s sole ticket into Division One for the 2026 season.
In 2026, Highrange will compete in the ZIFA Northern Region Division One — just one tier below the crème de la crème of Zimbabwean football.
The triumph is the realisation of a dream by a Harare land developer who took the initiative to fight drug abuse by mobilising disadvantaged youths in the community and giving them a shot at life through football.
After topping the Harare Province Division Two A, Highrange met Scottland U-19 — winners of Division Two B — in the final to decide who would earn promotion. In a high-stakes clash against the moneybags Scottland outfit, the Highrange Property Developers–sponsored side defied the odds in a tense finale.
Billiam Chimbo settled the match with a superb first-half strike, and when the final whistle blew, the Highrange bench poured onto the pitch in jubilation.
The club is owned by brothers Kuziwa and Weyne Zimunya, directors of Highrange Property Developers.
Club president Kuziva Zimunya said he was thrilled by the team’s progress and is already targeting Premier Soccer League promotion within two years.
“This is an incredible achievement for the team. We've worked tirelessly to get here, and it’s a testament to the players’ dedication and commitment. I'm so proud of each and every one of them.

“We are excited as Highrange to win against Scottland, such a good side. We expect to stay in Division One next season, and the following season we aim for the Premier League,” Zimunya said.
Zimunya added that the team was originally assembled as part of efforts to fight drug and substance abuse in the community, but the initiative has since evolved into a platform for nurturing football talent.
Highrange Property Developers is a reputable land development company undertaking private and government projects across the country.
Highrange’s promotion marks a new chapter in the club’s history, and fans are eagerly anticipating their next steps. With their sights set on the top, Zimunya said the team is ready to take on the best in the province and make its mark.
ZIFA Harare Province Division Two League chairman Robert Tembo told NewsDay he expects Highrange to withstand the pressure in Division One.
“I saw entertaining football of Premier Soccer League level. Highrange came prepared mentally, physically and spiritually. Congratulations to the HEAVY HEAVY boys,” Tembo said.
