BULAWAYO July 13, (NewsDay Live) - Police in Mashonaland West province have arrested three suspects linked to the theft of four cattle in Chitomborwizi, Zvimba, on July 7.
The suspects, Victor Chirongoma (43), Ophias Chirongoma (43) and Takudzwa Chirongoma (18), were nabbed in Chegutu and Zvimba following a tip-off.
During investigations, police recovered the suspects’ getaway vehicle, a Honda Fit, and 107kg kg of suspected stolen beef.
Stock theft cases have been on the rise in Mashonaland West, with police urging farmers to brand their livestock and report suspicious movements to authorities.
