Zera said the new price adjustment is in response to the global fuel price stability following shocks triggered by the US/Ukraine-Iran war.

HARARE, Jul 9 (NewsDay Live) - The Zimbabwe Energy Regulatory Authority (Zera) has reduced fuel prices by 12 cents for diesel and five cents for blend with immediate effect.

In a statement on Wednesday, Zera said diesel would now be sold at US$1,87 per litre down from the previous US$1,99. Petrol price has been pegged at US$1,93 per litre from US$1,98.

In local currency, diesel, will be sold at ZWG 50,37 while blend is at ZWG 51,83 per litre.

Zera said the new price adjustment is in response to the global fuel price stability following shocks triggered by the US/Ukraine-Iran war.

"Government interventions continue to cushion consumers from the impact of global geopolitical developments," said the regulatory authority.

Zera also said the blending ratio remains at E20.
