A new upmarket hospitality venue, CoCoNut Lounge, has opened its doors in Harare’s Glen Lorne suburb, aiming to blend casual dining with corporate and VVIP experiences, manager Malvin Ncube announced this week.
Described by Ncube as “a complete lifestyle experience,” the venue seeks to move beyond the traditional restaurant model by offering spaces for relaxation, meetings, work, and celebrations under one roof.
“CoCoNut Lounge was created to offer a complete lifestyle experience — not just a place to eat, but a place where people can relax, meet, work, and celebrate in a premium environment,” Ncube said.
The venue has already drawn praise from prominent figures. Popular actress and television personality Tinopona Katsande, who recently visited the lounge, spoke glowingly about the experience.
“It’s rare to find a place that truly understands both style and substance,” Katsande said. “From the moment you walk in, the energy is different — elegant, but still welcoming. CoCoNut Lounge is exactly the kind of spot Harare has been waiting for.”
At the heart of the kitchen’s philosophy is an emphasis on technique and presentation. “What makes our kitchen special is that we take everyday ingredients and transform them into extraordinary dishes through technique, creativity, and attention to detail,” Ncube added.
The facility is designed to cater to a wide spectrum of clients, from solo coffee drinkers to corporate bookings. A dedicated VVIP section offers private, exclusive access for guests seeking a more intimate setting.
“We designed CoCoNut Lounge to cater for everyone — from someone who just wants a quiet coffee, to corporate clients, to guests who want a private VVIP experience,” Ncube said. “The VVIP section is about privacy, exclusivity, and personalised service.”

Quality control is central to the lounge’s operations, with management insisting on upmarket standards across both food and beverage offerings.
“Our focus is on quality, presentation, and service. We want every plate and every drink that leaves our kitchen or bar to meet upmarket standards,” Ncube said.
The opening positions CoCoNut Lounge within Glen Lorne’s ongoing transformation into one of Harare’s premier lifestyle destinations.
“Glen Lorne is growing into one of Harare’s premium lifestyle destinations, and we wanted CoCoNut Lounge to be part of that transformation,” the manager noted.
The brand’s long-term vision, according to Ncube, is to become synonymous with class, comfort, and reliability.
“Whether you come for a full meal, cocktails with friends, or a business meeting over coffee, we want CoCoNut Lounge to be the place you think of first,” he said.
“Our vision is to build a brand that represents class, comfort, and consistency — a place where people know they will always get a high-quality experience.”
