The Zimbabwe Republic Police has dismissed recent social media reports concerning the death of Detective Sergeant Milika Laison as "misleading and factually incorrect".
Police said Laison died in a road traffic accident at the 203 kilometre peg along the Masvingo-Beitbridge Road on June 25 while driving towards Masvingo.
According to police, he had just resigned from the force.
Social media reports claimed that
Laison, 43, died during a training drill at ZRP Ntabazinduna Police Academy.
