Mafikozolo, the South African Afro-pop and Kwaito music act, is no longer going to perform at a music concert scheduled to take place this coming Sunday evening, in the resort town of Victoria Falls.

The popular music duo – alongside the likes of Zimdancehall kingpin Winky D and Vic Fall local outfit Flying Bantu – was lined up to perform at the Buddie Beatz Concert, which takes place after the Econet Victoria Falls Marathon.

Impeccable sources confirmed the development, without giving details but linking it to security and safety considerations.

Buddie Beatz, a sub-brand of Econet Wireless, earlier on took down all promotional material associated with Mafikizolo’s participation at the concert, which – according to social media posts – is still proceeding as planned.

Current promotional material shows that the rest of the artistes scheduled to perform at the event remain unchanged.
