Police have found two-year-old toddler Asandra Ndhlovu, who was believed to have been kidnapped at a local mall, safe and healthy.

Bulawayo police spokesperson Inspector Nomalanga Msebele said police received information on February 19 regarding the whereabouts of the toddler, who was allegedly abducted on February 17, 2026, at around 10:30am at her mother’s workplace.

“Acting on the information, the police swiftly responded and arrested a female adult suspect at the corner of Herbert Chitepo Street and 3rd Avenue in Bulawayo,” she said.

Msebele confirmed that the toddler has since been reunited with her mother and that the suspect is assisting police with further investigations.

“We applaud members of the public for cooperating with the police, which led to the location of the child,” she said.
