Award-winning American queen of R & B Mary J Blige is expected to jet into the country this Friday evening for a once-off show at the Jaggers Warehouse in Msasa on Saturday evening.
Tickets for the show will be available starting on Wednsday at Sam Levy’s Village, Zimbabwe Tourism Authority and at the E-Ticket booth at the Avondale shopping centre. Standard tickets will be sold for $15 and VIP tickets will cost $60.
One of the Impeccable Events organisers Tinopona Katsande, said the delay in publicity was caused by a series of challenges.
“We know we delayed in publicising the event but we could not rush things as we were still completing the Zimra requirements,” said Katsande.
She added that they had chosen to bring in Mary J because she was a good role model for most women as they could identify with her.
“Our decision to bring in Mary J is in line with the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-based Violence. Mary J is a woman who knows her rights and has been through a lot of ups and downs in her life,” said Katsande.
While in Zimbabwe, the American singer will tour various tourist sites.
