McInn Football Club are under pressure to preserve their unbeaten run in the season when they engage ZimAlloys in a Zifa Central Region Division One Football League match at Pelandaba Stadium on Saturday.

Anderson Phiri’s charges, who are sitting on fifth spot on the log standings with twelve points from six games, will be facing a rejuvenated Alloys side who refused to be harrassed by Chapungu last weekend in a Gweru derby.

Having also thwarted Chapungu’s bullying antics in their season opener by forcing a goalless draw away at Ascot Stadium, McInn seem not to be perturbed by the prospect of coming up against Alloys who are on a recovery path after a false start to the season.

The Pelandaba meeting is likely to prove to be a stern test of pedigree for both sides.

Log leaders Tripple B make the long journey to Kwekwe for a Mbizo Stadium confrontation with troubled TM Eagles who would also want to stay clear of the relegation zone.

Besides wanting to have a fruitful journey, the Beitbridge-based side is also playing to secure their grip at the log apex.

At Forbes Stadium, sixth-placed Forbes and Thompson face Tongogara who are one place below them on the log while Shurugwi United and Lancashire Steel have a date at Peak Stadium.

On Sunday, Hardbody are keen to reclaim pole position on the log when they travel to Gwanda to meet struggling Blanket Mine in what looks like a stroll in the park for the busmen.

However, coach Tavaka Gumbo could be well aware of Blanket Mine’s intentions of vacating the relegation zone.

Ailing Rutendo Stars who have no point from five outings host fourth-placed Silo United at Rutendo Stadium. Rutendo were on Wednesday further condemned to the basement with a heavy 6-1 away defeat at the hands of ruthless Chapungu who are inactive this weekend.

Result: Wednesday May 11 Chapungu 6 Rutendo Stars 1

Fixtures:

Saturday: TM Eagles v Tripple B (Mbizo Stadium), McInn v ZimAlloys (Pelandaba Stadium), Shurugwi United v Lancashire Steel (Peak Stadium), Forbes and Thompson v Tongogara (Forbes Stadium) Sunday: Blanket Mine v Hardbody (Blanket Stadium), Rutendo Stars v Silo United (Rutendo Stadium).
