The tournament, which kicked off a few weeks back, saw 18 teams drawn from the Police Inter-stations Soccer League battling for supremacy.

ALL is set for the soccer finals between ZRP Tshabalala and ZRP Entumbane in  the second edition of the Harris Lodges Cup showdown slated for White City Stadium in Bulawayo on Friday.

The tournament, which kicked off a few weeks back, saw 18 teams drawn from the Police Inter-stations Soccer League battling for supremacy.

The tournament is sponsored by Harris Lodge, Bulawayo Continental Lodges, Pusheka Girl and Young Women for ED to the tune of US$4,500.

Spokesperson for the tournament, Jordan Dube, said gates will open at 10am with the finals set for 3pm.

“The stage is set for the event and we are calling upon soccer loving fans and residents to come and witness their members of the police showing off their talents. “It is going to be an exciting event as we have done a lot of improvements as compared to last year’s inaugural event,” Dube said.

In the inaugural edition last year, The Support Unit team won the inaugural tournament last year after trouncing Nkulumane Police Station 5-1.

Interestingly, this year none of the two teams made it to this year's edition finals.

Dube said apart from soccer, the crowd will also be entertained by music.

“Like I indicated, this year we are bigger and better as we have decided to bring entertainment as part of the tournament.

“We will be having MaNine, Intombi ZoMqhangala, Bazooka and we are finalizing talks with Insimbi ZeZhwane, so we invite everyone for a good treat,” Dube said.
