Released two weeks ago, the remix is making waves on the local showbiz circuit, receiving its fair share of airplay on local radio stations.
The song Mainini is a dance track, where the two artistes talk about how they love having fun, while daring a female, referred to as Mainini, to join them as she has never had as much as fun as she would have with 8L and Tocky Vibes.
Speaking to NewsDay, 8L said the two had not planned on a remix, but they started on it after they met at a studio.
“When I finished doing the original Mainini track a month ago, Tocky came by the studio and after he listened to the song, he was impressed with it that he requested to add his voice on it,” he said.
Born Blessed Zikhali, 8L said he was pleased to work with Tocky on the song.
