Loving You is a potentially explosive hit single that features Enoch ‘Nox’ Guni and while dancehall sensation Guspy Warrior teamed up with the group on the song Uriwepiko.

The song Loving You is just a carryover from the hit single Reply Me One Day featuring Rockford ‘Roki’ Josphats that immediately became a hit, sing along tune popular among radio listeners and even the general public.

Recorded recently in South Africa, Loving You is a fast-pace party song that carries the entire distinctive comical trademarks that possibly in no time propels the enthusiasm to listen to it.

The sound is purely techno while the chorus is complemented by a heavily processed Nox’s synthesised voice – the one that is run through a software programme called Auto-Tune for a giddy effect that makes him sound like a singing cyborg or a warbling chipmunk.

The song wouldn’t have been much better without Nox’s expertise on the vocals and it just brings out a funky feel.

The song is currently receiving heavy rotation on the local radio stations and could soon scale to dizzy heights on the feature hit list on Power FM while it speaks about a man who is madly in Love with a woman expressing all the reasons why he is in love.

In the song, The Expandables also reiterate and stamp their authority for having lasted for so many years in music circles through their trademark signature Takuzvitangidza (We are starting over).

This is the first time The Expandables has worked with Nox and Guspy Warrior and these two songs will be featured on their upcoming project titled The Expandables ii.

The song Uriwepiko has got a dancehall appeal and resembles the versatility that The Expandables has in adapting to the dancehall genre that is making waves with a completely diverse crop of artistes.

In an interview with NewsDay, Norman Manwere said: “As a group we are delighted to have merged our efforts with different local artistes to create a distinctive product.

“We always enjoy working as a family and as creative people we have always avoided restricting ourselves, hence our music has for a very long time incorporated several influences like dancehall, rnb and basically we don’t confine ourselves, “he said.

He also added that they had worked again with the likes of Roki and there were many singles set to be included on the album The Expandables II.

“We just decided to go ahead with the idea since people seem to have loved it. The album will feature Roki, Nox, Gusspy Warrior and other local artistes. After having done that song Reply Me One Day, we felt we had to do more and so far everything is on point.

“The songs are already on radio and we are hoping fans will like the idea hence we will be sampling these racks during our live performances such that we get the music to the people.”

The Expandables have to date belted tracks such as Fire, arguably one of the best songs to come out of local collaborative efforts.

The song featured urban music songbird Cindy Munyavi, Sani Makhalima and controversial rapper Maskiri.
