The clips, which have gone viral, have won the favour of vendors who are defying relocation from the lucrative central business district.
“My clips are unique because I mix humour in my Karanga accent, I come from Buhera and I inform as I entertain in my acts” said the jovial poet.
Gwenyanduri Dhege was born in 1975 and according to him he was born a poet.
“I was born a poet and I remember reciting other prominent poets’ work when I was in primary school,” said Tatenda. In clips doing the rounds which he likes to call “Screen guard phone yese dollar”, Tatenda is heard asking the authorities why they want to evict vendors to areas where there are no customers.
“Kumatenganyika kwomoda tiende hakuna consumer behaviour,” (There are no customers on the outskirts you are pushing us to) says Tatenda in one of the clips.
