HARARE, Apr. 22 (NewsDay Live) – Minute Maid has launched a “Tollgate Happy Hour” activation that will offer free highway passage and refreshments to motorists travelling during the 2026 Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF).

In partnership with the Zimbabwe National Road Administration (ZINARA), the brand will sponsor 500 light motor vehicle (LMV) passes at the Ntabazinduna Tollgate.

The promotion will run on Sunday, April 19, and Sunday, April 26, between 9am and 11am.

The initiative targets one of the country’s busiest travel periods, offering motorists complimentary toll access alongside samples of Minute Maid products, including Pulpy, Orange, Tropical, Apple Grape and Guava flavours.

Faith Nehanda, senior manager of marketing for Coca-Cola ECAF, said the activation is designed to meet consumers during peak travel periods.

“ZITF week is one of the busiest travel periods in Zimbabwe, and Minute Maid is showing up where our consumers need us most,” she said.

“By supporting their journey with a free toll pass and the refreshing taste of Minute Maid, we are helping make everyday travel more enjoyable.”

The Tollgate Happy Hour forms part of a broader strategy by Schweppes Zimbabwe Limited and The Coca-Cola Company to strengthen brand engagement through direct consumer interaction.

Nehanda said the campaign reinforces the brand’s commitment to quality refreshment, value and meaningful connections with consumers on the move.

The Coca-Cola Company operates in more than 200 countries and territories, with a diverse portfolio that includes sparkling soft drinks, water and juices.
