Tobacco value-chain company Swan Valley Group has partnered Chipaz Promotions for the “One Big Party” show scheduled for December 31 at Glamis Arena.
The concert will be headlined by Zimbabwean superstars Winky D and Jah Prayzah, and will also feature an exciting lineup of stars, including Kurai Makore, Killer T, Chill Master and Feli Nandi.
Speaking to journalists on Friday, Chipaz Promotions founder Patson Chimbodza confirmed that Swan Valley has come on board as the event’s main sponsor.
“I know we’ve worked very much with Swan from last year, doing other events. But on this one, it’s a special announcement,” Chimbodza said.
Organisers originally planned to host the show at the Magamba Hockey Stadium in Harare, but the venue was changed after feedback from fans who felt it was too small for the anticipated crowd.
“I’m sure we advertised Hockey Stadium. But then as we started advertising, we saw comments from many people that the venue is too small,” Chimbodza said.
He added, “As we went by, we then realised that if we to put tents at Hockey Stadium, the venue will be too small. We then had to change our venue to Glamis Arena, where we can put enough tents for the standard people. And in terms of branding, Glamis Arena will be so visible.”
The event has generated significant interest, with fans eagerly anticipating seeing Winky D and Jah Prayzah perform on the same stage — a combination many have been discussing online and in entertainment circles. Both artistes are regarded as among the country’s best and their joint appearance is already being touted as one of the year’s biggest music events.

“To be honest, the feedback has been fantastic because fans have been eagerly anticipating this event. Having Winky D and Jah Prayzah perform on the same stage is something they’ve been waiting for, for a long time,” Chimbodza said. “We have just delivered what many people have been itching for.”
Swan Valley Group managing director Mutemwa Ushewokunze said the company was excited about the collaboration and the promising lineup.
“We believe we have thrown some of the biggest concerts in the country and the opportunity was presented for us to partner and participate in the One Big Party, which is now the Swan One Big Party and we think it’s going to be the most epic crossover Zimbabwe has ever seen,” he said.
He added that having two of Zimbabwe’s greatest musical talents perform from December 31 to January 1 offered a unique opportunity for families and young adults to celebrate together.
