IN a significant development, Swan Valley Group has joined forces with Reggae Wave Zim to ensure the success of the highly anticipated October Reggae Festival.
Scheduled to take place on October 4 at the picturesque Sherwood Golf Club in Harare, the event promises to be an unforgettable experience.
Russel Mavudzi, the organiser and spokesperson of the October Reggae Festival, revealed that the line-up will feature an impressive array of renowned entertainers.
Headlining acts include Mbeu & the Mhodzi Tribe, Mannex Motsi & MoFamilee, and Ashley Masendeke (Mai Jeremaya), with DJ Jada and many more set to take to the stage.
The charismatic multi-talented host MC Stansplash will anchor the event, ensuring a seamless and entertaining experience for attendees.

MC Stansplash, now popular for a trending dance routine (Acktion Pak), has hosted several international reggae dancehall artistes like Beenie Man, Mavado, Jah Cure, Chris Martin in addition to locals Winky D and Jah Prayzah, among others.

“Sherwood stage will see that we have a natural talent. Reggae dancehall music is my life, so when we entertain, we also educate about Rastalivity. We have a simple motto In Life Do Good 2025. Let’s spread love, peace and Unity (around) the entire world,” MC Stansplash said.
“It is a big thing if we keep on getting sponsorship from the corporates and it makes planning of events easy and smooth.
“We just need to seat down in time and always plan properly so that there is value exchange between the corporates, promoters and the artistes.”
Mbeu said fans should expect real energy and songs that touch their souls.
“I promise to give them my all on that stage. Reggae is a genre deeply rooted in culture, healing and consciousness. My music carries messages of love, hope and roots,” he said.
“On stage, I’ll deliver that spirit of healing and consciousness reggae is known for. My message is unity, peace and standing strong together as people. Music is the bridge.
“Support is everything. Without partners and fans, there is no festival. Keep showing up, spreading the word and keeping reggae alive.”
For reggae empress Mai Jeremaya, it will be an emotional return to the music scene.
“I have been dying to come back on the music scene. I can’t wait to express myself through the most spiritual genre ever created, reggae music, sharing the stage with the best,” she said.
“Reggae is truth in motion. Every song will be true and performed without holding back. I look forward to a deep connection with my fans.
“I am always spreading love and gratitude for life. My message to everyone is, love yourself, love one another and love what you do. Nomatter what.
“This festival is particularly vital for the growth and healing of our society. The gospel of unity and love has to be spread,” Mai Jeremaya said.
Reggae crooner Mannex vowed that a spirit of Pan-Africanism and unionism rooted in his upbringing shall manifest through his act as he performs his old and yet-to-be-released songs.
“Collaborations are always amazing as combining our art brings out a certain kind of uniqueness that is authentic and to the pleasure of our supporting fans at Sherwood,” he said.
“Swan is doing an amazing job to support art in Zimbabwe and helping even new artistes to be exposed and get known.
“I wish we could have more corporates join in and be a part of the journey as together we make our brands grow.”
