Munashe Hashiti is an Africa University student and former Student Representative Council president. He has extensive experience in substantive and procedural research, acquired in practice while working in consulting, commissioned research, teaching, and voluntary service to several organizations.

Munashe Hashiti is an Africa University student and former Student Representative Council president. He has extensive experience in substantive and procedural research, acquired in practice while working in consulting, commissioned research, teaching, and voluntary service to several organizations. He comes from a culturally diverse background and is guided by conservative Christian morals. Munashe sat on Africa University’s board, senate, and all standing committees, which gave him experience at senior administrative levels in higher education. His ambition is to practice as a strategic administrator, entrepreneur, capacity builder, and academic researcher in the hope of contributing towards local and global growth and recognition of commercial and corporate strategies in capacity development. He also hopes to contribute to society through social entrepreneurship in Zimbabwe and beyond. After completing the Fellowship, Munashe plans to continue his work in entrepreneurship and business development at Africa University and other United Methodist institutions of higher education .

Bernard Simbarashe Juru is a burgeoning champion in the field of technology and entrepreneurship. He is a young ‘technopreneur’ who enjoys working in the hub space and in the startup ecosystem of Zimbabwe with the hope of expanding to other regions in the continent. Currently he is leading business development and coordination training at Muzinda Hub, an innovation and technological hub which focuses on mobile, web development, digital marketing, entrepreneurship, and digital skills training. In the past year, he has coordinated and facilitated the training of 1,000 developers to help create employment opportunities through their coding skills. Bernard also holds a Bachelor of Social Sciences from Monash University, Australia. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, he plans on creating many more employment opportunities for the youth within the sub-Saharan region and beyond, through digital skills and leveraging technology to help build emerging startups.

Kudzai Belinda Sakajero has over 10 years’ corporate-training experience. She is the co-founder of Umba Create, a social enterprise offering education and business guidance to young people and women from low- to middle-income families in Harare, Zimbabwe. Umba Create exits to fight unemployment by providing an innovative space for creative thinking to solve social problems. Kudzai has empowered the over 300 young people currently registered in her network and mentors 50 girls through her Girls Rock Network. Kudzai holds a BSc (Hons) in Human Resources Management and a Training diploma. She is passionate about developing young entrepreneurs in the creative industries, and serves as a leader in her local church. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, she aims to scale up her enterprise by establishing a co-working space in Harare for entrepreneurs in creative industries, using technology to promote the arts.
