The promise and the Promised Land are already there

As humankind in whatever endeavour in life seeks advancement and progress, one of the greatest challenges and fear is the misconception that the promise and the Promised Land are not yet ready.

Destinies are shelved and callings are parked gathering dust and getting rust. Some even doubt that they have a calling and space to exercise their purpose.

We have seen people climbing on top of others and destroying them in order to climb the ladder of life and destroying their competitors in order to get space.

There are people who get mileage by character assassination of those in their field. God in His greatness, splendour and majesty has enough promise and the Promised Land for everyone to exercise their calling, gift and talent.

For starters, mankind was created to have dominion over what was already there. God did not create man and woman first and then started running around to get the earth and its resources.

All you need is to be bold and grab the promise. Many argue that they have the dream and vision, but don’t have the calling to execute their plan. God assured Jeremiah that way back he had the calling.

Jeremiah 1:5 reads: “Before I formed thee in the belly, I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.”

It is up to you to take up the promise. There is nothing missing to propel you to the next level. The promise is boiling inside you and the space is crying for occupation.

The Bible carries promises to anyone who wants to believe. It is up to you to personalise that general Word which is called logos to fit your desire then it becomes rhema to you.

After this, it begins to give you the benefits of the promises. Maybe you want to see a burning bush or see some sign to believe God has a purpose and assignment for you or you heard a testimony of someone you respect so much that you now feel belittled like a grasshopper.

Let me encourage you with the testimony of some preacher and academic who is arguably the best brains on the African continent. He is sought after by churches, big companies and governments all over the world as a fountain of wisdom, sound advice and counsel. He said he does not have any of the great callings some of you have. He simply believed and grabbed Jeremiah 29:11: “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”

You can follow suit and become someone.

You also need to be aware that while God was preparing Israel for the Promised Land, the land was already there as well as the promise. On this premise, please understand that many times when you are asking God for things and the things are not coming, He is probably processing you for the things. Milk and honey is there, but there are no takers. From whatever perspective you want to look at it, international or personal level, it is usually the mindset that has to be dealt with first.

Jobs are there — go to school, husbands are there just behave, minerals are there — get the right attitude. Many things will fall into place if you allow God to process you. Be mature and responsible, the promise and the space will open up to you.

Some of you think the market has already been fully taken up and there is no space for you.

During Jesus’ time, John complained that there was someone doing their assignment. Luke 9:49-50 records: “And John answered and said, ‘Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name; and we forbad him, because he followeth not with us’.”

And Jesus said unto him: “Forbid him not for he that is not against us is for us.”

There is space for you as long as you have the right motive and are doing the right thing. Decampaigning or killing others does not trigger your promise and give you space. For churches, there are so many people out there that are waiting for the gospel. Business can get clients without bewitching others.

Political parties can get supporters without violence. Let us all enjoy the world that was given to us. Allow your neighbour to shine, there is space for everyone.

Make full use of your promise and enter the Promised Land without fear. Don’t be intimidated, you are going somewhere.
