It seems Zanu PF has hijacked Premiership side Manica Diamonds after it's top leadership attended its match against Dynamos at Sakubva Stadium.

Among the top leadership was the outspoken Zanu PF deputy political commissar Taurai Kundishaya who is the teams secretary general.

Zanu PF Makoni District Cordination Committe chairperson Kudzi Chipanga.

Chipanga who is known for his mobilisation prowess is former national youth leader.

Youthful Men BelievED leader Justice Matsatsira received a massive welcome with supporters singing his name.

Zanu PF central committe member Getrude Mutandi also attended the match.

Zanu PF's Women league member Tariro Mhondiwa was party of the crowd.

The team is bankrolled by a Zanu PF provincial youth executive member Evans Kamombo who took over the team after the Zimbabwe Consolidated Diamond Company (ZCDC) ceded ownership.

Kundishaya said they were following President Emmerson Mnangagwa mantra.

We are just following President Emmerson Mnangagwa mantra leaving no one , no place behind, sport can unite the country , you can see today the stadium is full and people are happy," he said.

Chipanga said he was happy.

"Today was great for Manicaland football , If we keep on this unity then we are destined for great heights," he said.

The team has a strong leadership led by its Patron Mberikwazvo Chitambo a chief operations officer of Sakunda Holdings.
