HARARE, Jun. 1 (NewsDay Live) - MASHONALAND West Division 2B side Barca Kadoma FC have parted ways with head coach David Sengu, his assistant Rodwell Chinyengetere and the entire technical team with immediate effect.
The club's chief executive officer, Dennis Makani, announced the development in a statement, saying the decision followed an assessment of the team's progress and long-term objectives.“The leadership of Barca Kadoma wishes to officially announce the departure of the head coach, assistant coach and the entire technical team. This decision has been reached after a comprehensive review of the club's performance and future strategic direction,” said Makani. The departure comes at a time when Barca Kadoma are still unbeaten in the 2026 Mashonaland West Division 2B campaign.
The club has accumulated 13 points from three wins and four draws.
Sengu joined Barca Kadoma early this year replacing Gift Tembo who finished at the top of the Division 2B standings last season. However, their hopes of securing promotion to Division One were dashed after losing a decisive play-off match.
The club has not yet announced who will take charge of the team on an interim or permanent basis.
Makani said further details on the restructuring of the technical department will be announced in the coming days as they seek to maintain their push for Division One football.
