AGAMA FC . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 1
TELONE FC coach Saul Chaminuka says the club is considering abandoning Ascot Stadium after suffering yet another home defeat, deepening concerns over their poor form in Gweru.
The Wi-Fi Boys were beaten 1–0 yesterday by fellow strugglers Agama FC in a drab Castle Lager Premier Soccer League encounter at the venue.
Ralph Nyamupurika scored the only goal of the match on the stroke of half-time, handing Agama their second win of the season.
The defeat marked TelOne’s eighth home loss of the campaign, with the club yet to register a win or even a draw at Ascot Stadium. They have now dropped a staggering 24 points at home.
Despite their struggles, TelOne attempted to fight back, with Tawanda Macheke, Innocent Mucheneka, and Bruno Mtigo all trying to inspire a response, but their efforts proved insufficient.
Growing frustration was evident among players, with some reportedly expressing displeasure with the venue, saying they were “tired of this stadium.”

Chaminuka admitted the situation had become difficult to explain, hinting at a possible change of venue.
“I think that’s the general feeling within the whole team, the players and myself included. I think we need to get away from this pitch and play elsewhere,” he said.
“If we are thinking of winning, you cannot talk about superstition, but when a team has lost eight games at home, that must mean something.”
The defeat leaves TelOne rooted at the bottom of the table with eight points from one win and five draws. Their only victory this season came away from home against Triangle United.
