DYNAMOS stuttered in their push for a second-place finish after they were held to a draw by old foes Highlanders in a Castle Lager Premier Soccer League clash at the National Sports Stadium.
With Chicken Inn edging Caps United 2-1 on Saturday to ease into second position with 59 points, Dynamos needed a big victory against Bosso to retain the initiative.
With the league title having been won by FC Platinum already, Dynamos and Chicken are now left to fight to be runners up.
Despite fighting for scraps, the match attracted a decent crowd. Although they could not be separated at full-time, the game was entertaining.
Dynamos could have gone ahead 30 minutes into the match, but Tinashe Makanda missed a headed opportunity after a wonderful delivery from the left by Emmanuel Jalai.
Highlanders also had an opportunity six minutes later, but Lynoth Chikukwa directed his effort wide.

In the second half, Darlington Mukuli had a speculative long-range effort saved by Dynamos goalkeeper Taimon Mvula.
It was King Nadolo, however, who must have been disappointed on 58 minutes when his ferocious shot hit the underside of the cross bar and bounced to safety.
Tonderai Ndiraya felt they could have won the contest.
“It was a balanced affair with little goal mouth action. Its common in these kinds of games. Players tend not to really express themselves which is expected,” he said.
“But I thought we were largely in control and created better opportunities, but couldn’t score. Both teams were hesitant, they were not going for each other which is what we expected. I thought it was a little bit flat, but a balanced affair. We wanted maximum points to go ahead of Chicken Inn, but we didn’t risk, especially considering we were coming from a defeat.”
His counterpart Baltemar Brito appeared satisfied with the result.
“It was a good game tactically by both teams. They tried to close the space and there were not too many opportunities for both teams. But overall, I am happy with the performance of the boys. Both teams respected each other too much tactically,” he said.
