God; beyond the veil

Opinion & Analysis
By accepting the Gospel of Christ and being born again, we have the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit and we see God as He really is.

LAST week, I made introductory remarks on the Father and His family.

We’re still pursuing the topic and today we want to explore further the true identity of God our Father.

Please read previous instalments, we don’t have the luxury of repetition because we want to progress.

We recap that Jesus is the full revelation of God beyond what the prophets and the Law said.

By accepting the Gospel of Christ and being born again, we have the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit and we see God as He really is.

Hebrews 10:20, points out, “By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;” Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life.

Previously we ended up saying that there are many who rejected Christianity because a vengeful God was presented to them.

He’s seen as both a blesser and a curser, and a giver of life and a killer.

We want to demystify this.

Satan is hidden in the Old Testament and both good and evil are attributed to God. The Gospel of Christ corrects our opinion of God by revealing Him in Christ.

Jesus removes the veil/vail according to 2 Corinthians 3:14, “But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ.”

Those mishandling the Old Testament are still around.

It’s possible to read the Bible and see the sacred scriptures as the revelation of satan while it should be the revelation of Jesus.

If we rightly divide the Word of Truth, we will see how satan was hiding behind God and killing and causing pandemics.

Let’s look at a case study in the Old Testament.

We read 1 Samuel 16:14,23, “[23] But the Spirit of the LORD departed from Saul, and an evil spirit from the LORD troubled him. [23] And it came to pass, when the evil spirit from God was upon Saul, that David took an harp, and played with his hand: so Saul was refreshed, and was well, and the evil spirit departed from him.”

Please read the whole story.

It’s frightening especially where comers don’t read, study and meditate on the Word for themselves.

The verses are clear that they’re saying God sent the Holy Spirit upon King Saul as well as an evil spirit.

I want you to see the contrast that He’s also being said to have anointed David to play music to cast out the evil spirit.

Jesus corrects the limitations of the Old Testament for us.

Mark 3:22-24 record, “[22] And the scribes which came down from Jerusalem said, He hath Beelzebub, and by the prince of the devils casteth he out devils. [23] And he called them unto him, and said unto them in parables, How can Satan cast out Satan? [24] And if a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.”

God isn’t confused. It’s the absence of the Kingdom of Light that causes the kingdom of darkness to rules and cause havoc.

Where the ministry of life isn’t preached; condemnation, guilt and fear reign resulting in death.

Previously we saw how Jesus refused to allow His disciples to call fire from heaven as Elijah did.

We read Luke 9:55-56, “[55] But he turned, and rebuked them, and said, Ye know not what manner of spirit ye are of. [56] For the Son of man is not come to destroy men's lives, but to save them. And they went to another village.” ‘

Again please read the full story.

It’s in the Bible that Elijah called for fire and people died.

We can’t be lazy with studying the Bible and allow the devil to have his way in the church.

We minister life not death, faith not fear, and peace not threats.

Anyone can quote the Bible and say anything.

Ministries can even start out of a god who answers by fire and kills followers or perceived enemies.

That’s a god not the God of the Bible. Word practitioners should be diligent and disciplined.

We should not allow ourselves to be led by those abusing and misquoting the Scriptures.

Look for those who preach the whole counsel of God as revealed beyond the veil, Acts 20:27, New King James, “For I have not shunned to declare to you the whole counsel of God.”

I use the whole Bible from Genesis to Revelation and all I see is God Who is Jesus Who never changes.

The Bible says in Hebrews 13:8, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever. He says in Revelation 1:8, “I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.”

Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen. Grace and peace be multiplied to you through knowledge.
