The conservancy’s director, Kate Travers said the guide, Tafadzwa Gosho, was working at the Rhino and Wildlife Conservation Park located 40km outside Marondera.
“We are handling the issue internally and we will issue a statement in due course,” she said.
According to sources, Gosho died while on duty as he was hit by an estranged rhino and died the same night.
The conservation park, which is located just two hours from Harare boasts of having released 11 rhinos into the wild.
It is also spearheading the Black Rhino Breeding Programme aimed at helping to protect the endangered species.
