Madondo, the younger sister of the late gospel diva Jackie, will share the stage with notable gospel musicians Jonah Chivasa, Kuda Mutsvene, Joseph Nyakabau and Sabelo Moyo.

Concert organiser, Chivasa, a member of the famous gospel ensemble The Thousands Voices, confirmed that a number of upcoming artistes from churches in Marondera will be performing.

“Marbel Madondo will be performing in Marondera during the concert that will see upcoming gospel artistes getting a chance to prove themselves. The objective of the concert is for talent to meet its potential sponsor, so it’s a win-win scenario for everyone,” he said.

“Moreover, the gospel is being spread through music and dance, winning souls and to equip and empower local gospel musicians. A number of musicians from different churches are set to participate during the concert.”

Higher Praise Concert is held monthly in different cities and towns. In October the concert will be held Bindura. Meanwhile. all eyes will be on the talented Madondo, who was once a member of the Zimpraise Team.

The concert is a brainchild of Chivasa and was founded in 2013.

The 29-year-old Madondo started her music career at the age of 16 as a backing vocalist to her late sister’s Vessels of Honour band. In 2011, she joined Zimpraise before forming her own 50-member group, The Thousand Voices. She recently released a 12-track album, Faith and Just.
