A NEW 28-member gospel ensemble, One Accord Gospel, has entered the showbiz scene with the release of their debut eight-track album titled The Calling to be launched tonight at 99 Parklane Avenue in Harare.

Veteran gospel musician Mechanic Manyeruke will be the guest artist at the launch that will see several other gospel groups performing. The group’s spokesperson Rodwell Ayiwero said they ventured into music to spread the gospel by using their talents.
“Our journey into music through the release of this album is the brainchild of passionate youths with one main objective of glorifying the name of the living God through music,” Ayiwero said.

The outfit’s members have worked with other renowned groups like Zimpraise, Solid Praise and house of Worship before embarking on their solo careers.
Ayiwero said One Accord Gospel will bring diversity within the gospel fraternity adding flavour with their genre of music cutting across generations.
“We might be members from different churches, but we all have one vision, which is to spread the word of God through music,” he said.

The album was recorded by renowned producer Macdonald Chidavaenzi is composed of songs like Gogodza, Everything, Hakuna Wakafanana, Zita RaJesu, Naye, Moyo Wangu, Minana and Ndanga Ndarasa Tariro.
