BULAWAYO, June 25 (NewsDay Live) -A 42-year-old Beitbridge man has been sentenced to 15 years in jail for raping his 19-year-old ex-lover.
The court heard that the man broke into her home, hid under the bed, and later raped her while she was alone.
It is the State case that on May 6, the man unlawfully entered the victim's residence and hid under a bed.
He then emerged from the bed while she was asleep, covered her face with a blanket, and raped her.
The girl alerted her parents, leading to the perpetrator's arrest.
