Zanu PF’s Manicaland provincial leadership has praised Information Communication Technology, Postal and Courier Services Minister and Makoni West legislator Jenfan Muswere for driving development projects in the constituency, citing improvements in healthcare infrastructure and service delivery.

Muswere on Saturday commissioned a mothers’ shelter and nurses’ accommodation at Tariro Clinic in Ruombwe as part of efforts to strengthen healthcare services in rural communities.

The event was attended by Zanu PF Manicaland provincial chairperson Tawanda Mukodza, Minister of State for Manicaland Provincial Affairs and Devolution Misheck Mugadza, Makoni District Coordinating Committee secretary for lands Shepherd Nyika and other party and government officials.

Addressing the gathering, Mukodza commended Muswere for implementing projects aimed at improving livelihoods in the constituency.

“I want to thank everyone who came to witness this important occasion. I applaud Minister Muswere for taking a leading role in driving development projects that are benefiting our communities,” Mukodza said.

“He is implementing these initiatives in line with the party’s development agenda, and we are pleased with the progress being made.”

Muswere said the project was part of wider efforts to improve healthcare services across Makoni West, where 10 mothers’ shelters have been constructed.

“We have built a mothers’ shelter and additional accommodation for nurses. The facility is equipped with new beds, solar power, Starlink internet connectivity and computers for record management,” he said.

He added that the clinic had been modernised and refurbished to enhance service delivery.

“We deliberately chose this area because it is one of the most remote parts of the constituency. President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s vision is to ensure that no one and no place is left behind,” Muswere said.

He said plans were underway to expand access to clean water and healthcare services through the drilling of more boreholes and construction of additional clinics.

“Our goal is to ensure communities have access to quality healthcare services and clean water, regardless of where they are located,” Muswere said.
