VOCAL Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) member Madzibaba Veshanduko, born Godfrey Karembera (pictured), was recently reportedly summoned to Chief Chipuriro’s court in Mashonaland Central province facing eviction from his homestead over yet to be established charges.

In a tweet, CCC spokesperson Fadzayi Mahere confirmed receiving information that Madzibaba Veshanduko had been summoned to the chief’s court facing eviction from his homestead.

“We have received a report that Madzibaba Veshanduko is facing eviction from his homestead. He's been summoned to the court of Chief Chipuriro,” Mahere tweeted.

Cases of political victimisation are escalating in various parts of the country as political temperatures heat up ahead of this year’s watershed elections.

Late last year his son escaped abduction when unidentified people attempted to take him into an unmarked car.

In another case, that has left many people shocked, recorded in Murewa, visibly aged men and women were brutally assaulted in prone positions for gathering at a CCC political meeting.

Efforts to get more information from Mahere were fruitless while Karembera was not picking up calls.
