South AFRICA-BASED Zimbabwean artiste Adrain Thandeka Mawhole (32), popularly known as Slim Vevo, is steadily making waves on the music scene.
With a passion for music that dates back to 2015, Slim Vevo has become a household name in Zimbabwe and beyond.
Slim Vevo's music career took off at Smashtainment in Bulawayo, where he released his debut songs, including the popular track Kashort Base, which was played on repeat at Skyz Metro FM in 2019.
His unique style and sound quickly gained him recognition. Soon, he found himself collaborating with top artistes in the industry.
"I'm thrilled to be where I am today," Slim Vevo said.
"My music is a reflection of my experiences and emotions, and I'm grateful to have such a supportive fan base."
Slim Vevo said he relocated to South Africa in 2019, where he continued to pursue his music dream.
He has collaborated with renowned artistes such as Hwindi President, Silent Killer, Jah Master, Boy Shona and Loud H.

One of his notable collaborations is with Siya Ntuli from Big Zulu's Nkabi Records, on a song produced by Loud H.
Slim Vevo said he then joined forces with Black Diva and Rebo Dee in 2024, a talented artiste from Zimbabwe and together they released the hit song Thilo Lilo, which has racked up over 1 million views on YouTube.
“Working with Black Diva and Rebo Dee was an incredible experience," he said.
“We vibed well and the chemistry shows in the music."
Looking ahead, he said he was excited to release his new song, Uvalo, featuring Skoen Pampiri, a rising star from Lesotho.
“This collaboration is a testament to my commitment to pushing boundaries and exploring new sounds," Slim Vevo said.
“Produced by Mike Vergasin, Uvalo is set to be another hit for me.”
