MULTI-AWARD-WINNING gospel music sensation Togarepi Chivaviro has expressed delight after his track Hamupererwe hit the one million YouTube view mark.
This is his fifth track to reach such a feat after Ebenezer-Tiri Munyasha, Maranatha, Apo Mambo Apinda and Handinyarare.
The all-time hit song Ebenezer-Tiri Munyasha has more than six million views.
The video song Hamupererwe was released in 2019 off the album Excellent.
“It is an honour to realise that there is so much support for our music out there,” Chivaviro said.
“My main aim is to spread the gospel to all corners, so this is
a testament to a mission accomplished.
“You see, it is easier for young generation artistes to hit those levels because their generational followers are tech-savvy; most of the people who follow my music from my generation are not on those platforms. So hitting a million views for some of us speaks volumes, let alone having five songs in that bracket.”

The singer said there were a few songs that had surpassed 500 000 views like Mhepo Inoperekedza, Tariro Yangu and Famba Usacheuke, among others.
Chivaviro recently released his 21st album, It is well, which is doing well on local gospel charts.
