SWEDEN-BASED Afro-fusion musician Luckson Chikutu, affectionately known as ManLuckerz, put up a stellar performance at Fisksätra Peace Festival held in Stockholm.

This was the first time for the Gutu-born musician to perform at the festival that was attended by thousands of people.

The Peace Festival was held at the FisksätraKyrkan.

ManLuckerz, who leads the Zim-Traditional Unity band, kept fans on their feet with his performance as they danced to Zimbabwean music.

“It was a great experience and I am happy that I managed to put my country on the map through sharing our music and culture in Sweden,” he said.

“The FisksätraKyrkan festival event deserves special recognition from The Zim-Traditional Unity band for their outstanding efforts.

“We are thrilled to be able to share our music. We are grateful that you find Zimbabwean traditional music enjoyable. We had a great evening together, and it was great to be with all those fans.”

Chikutu leads The Zim-Traditional Unity Band, which comprises members from different nationalities, including Mozambique and Sweden.

A story teller and an author, he has made great strides in promoting Zimbabwean music in Sweden and Europe.
