ZIMBABWE’S cultural ambassador, Nomqhele Sisa Nkomo, is preparing to represent the nation at the Miss Tourism International pageant in Malaysia from October 4 to 20, 2025.

At just 21 years old, she has already captured national attention through her modeling, fashion innovation and social responsibility projects.

Her mentor and pageant coach Simbarashe Gwawawa said she is setting an example for upcoming models in Zimbabwe.

“She embodies confidence, intelligence and responsibility qualities that make her stand out on both national and international platforms,” he said.

Gwawawa said Nkomo’s social initiative, Green Minds, shows her depth and leadership beyond pageantry.

“Green Minds links sustainability to Zimbabwe’s tourism and cultural identity,” he said.

“It emphasises that preserving the environment is preserving who we are as a nation.”

Gwawawa said such a project proves that Nkomo is not only concerned with winning crowns, but also with making an impact that will last for generations.

He said her vision for the international stage goes beyond showcasing physical beauty, adding that her determination and authenticity will give her an edge in Malaysia.

“She carries the nation’s spirit in everything she does,” the mentor and pageant coach said.

“The world should expect her to inspire, to teach, and to remind us all that Zimbabwe has a powerful voice in tourism and culture.”

As October approaches, Gwawawa said Zimbabwe should be proud of Nkomo achievements.

“She is resilient, innovative, and proud of her roots. She will not just represent us she will make a mark on the global stage,” he declared.

Nkomo said Green Minds promotes environmental awareness and sustainable practices among youth.

“Our beautiful nation depends on conservation, and I want young people to take pride in protecting our heritage,” she said.

Nkomo expressed her gratitude and determination.

“I aim to carry our nation’s spirit into every space I occupy, inspiring young people to dream boldly and embrace their unique potential,” she said.
