ZIMBABWEAN comedian Learnmore Jonasi has done wonders on America’s Got talent (AGT) receiving the first coveted golden buzzer of the season from his role model Terry Crews in Los Angeles, United States.

Jonasi revealed that he has been a huge fan of Terry Crews since he was a child. He wanted to be like Crew when he grew up and that changed his life. The comedian added that being on AGT was a breakthrough in his career and it meant the world and everything to him.

“I used to watch this show with my grandmother and she would always say, ‘I see you there’ and I am here. I even learnt how to speak English watching stand-up comedy,” Jonasi said on AGT show stage.

The judges complimented the comedian’s talent with encouraging comments saying they were glad he came to the show, adding that stand-up comedy as hard as it is, he managed to wow the audience coming from a country where English is not the first language.

“We are so glad you are here, let me just say something. Stand up comedy is hard enough as it is but coming from a country where English is not even your first language, not only communicate with everybody, communicate with everybody and make everybody laugh, you are truly amazing,” said one of the judges Howie Mandel.

Another judge Simon Cowell added: “I think you are one of the funniest people we have ever had over the years. Unfortunately you are now stuck with us because you are not going anywhere.”

Terry Crews announced that Jonasi will be going to the live shows.

Jonasi expressed excitement, adding that everything seemed like a dream to him.
