Navid Incorporated, the project manager at Phoenix Prince Mine, has taken a firm and lawful stance to ensure peace and stability at the mine, advising artisanal miners that any acts of violence, incitement, or protests on Mining Lease 21 will result in immediate contract cancellation, according to a notice issued on Monday.
The company also declared Friday, 31 July 2026, a normal business working day, directing all miners to report for duty as usual during the period leading up to the Heroes Day commemorations. The move is aimed at maintaining uninterrupted operations and safeguarding the livelihoods of all workers at the mine.
In the notice, Navid Incorporated said any individuals or groups found attempting to incite violence would be reported to the Zimbabwe Republic Police Law and Order section for immediate action, underscoring the company's commitment to upholding the rule of law and ensuring a safe working environment for all.
The directive is consistent with a peace order issued by the Bindura Provincial Magistrates Court on 15 April 2026, which directed Navid Incorporated and Side Electricals to maintain peace by conforming to their registered boundaries Mining Lease 21 for Navid and Botha 1 to 4 for Side Electricals. The Zimbabwe Republic Police in Bindura were ordered to ensure compliance with the court's directive, affirming Navid Incorporated's lawful position at the mine.
