The service, Pay-Zone, is in partnership with CBZ, among others, and allows customers to buy Zesa prepaid tokens, make DStv and City of Harare bill payments, access mukuru.com services and cash withdrawals.

Customers can also access mobile money transfer services such as One Wallet and EcoCash.

In a statement, Spar said Pay-Zone brings a convenient way of making payments with the best customer service in the industry. “Pay-Zone was introduced after realising the need for a one-stop shop facility which caters for other financial needs that a customer has instead of going straight to the source.

“Pay-Zone has made it possible for customers to enjoy shopping without worrying about rushing to Zesa or DStv to make payments before close of business,” said Josephine Mutsekwa, group retail operations executive of Spar Zimbabwe.

“Our customers can expect to see more Pay-Zone kiosk rolling out across our stores, both corporate and independent, nationwide, with more exciting value-added offers being introduced to the kiosk as the Banking and Amenities Service industry role out their third party payment systems.”
