Mountaineers boss Jonathan Brent is excited by the brilliant form shown by his franchise player Hamilton Masakadza at the just ended Pran RFL T20 series.

Zimbabwe beat South Africa by nine wickets in the final which saw Brendan Taylor and Masakadza scoring 118 runs between them.

Masakadza scored his fourth half century in the final (58 off 50 balls) and he was eventually named Man of the Series in a tournament were Bangladesh also competed without success.

Brent said: “I am very happy for Hamilton. He is a good player you can rely on when chips are going down in any game. I also think the display he showed in national team colours is one of his most brilliant performances and he is a player who can always improve from that,’’ he said. “His presence at the club will motivate other young players.”
