Shabanie Mine . . . (0) 1 Harare City . . . . . . . . . 0 Shabanie Mine needed a 60th-minute goal from Nelson Mazivisa to edge Harare City in an unexciting Castle Lager Premier Soccer League match at Maglas Stadium in Zvishavane yesterday.

It was Mazivisa’s 12th goal of the season for second-placed team on the log, who remain five points behind leaders Highlanders, who edged Caps United 1-0 at Barbourfields Stadium yesterday. FC Platinum were held to a 1-1 draw by Buffaloes at Sakubva and are third with 25 points.

There was nothing to write home about in the first half save for Harare City’s Petros Titus’ free kick which was punched pack into play by Shabanie goalkeeper Roy Mazingi, but into the path of Godfrey Nguwodzawo who fumbled before Smart Muchabaiwa cleared.

In the second half, Mazivisa, who is on loan from Platinum and is wanted by all the top clubs in the league, won a tussle against defender Edgar Tapera on the hour and poked past the outdrawn goalkeeper Max Nyamupanedengu.
