FORMER Warriors winger Edmore Chirambadare says returning to Chicken Inn feels like coming back home after the Bulawayo side confirmed his signing during the mid-season transfer window.
The 34-year-old rejoins the Gamecocks almost a decade after leaving the club following his exploits in Chicken Inn's historic 2015 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League title-winning campaign.
His performances that season earned him a move to South African giants Kaizer Chiefs in 2016.
After leaving Amakhosi, Chirambadare went on to play for Maccabi FC, Pretoria Callies, Real Kings, Venda FC and most recently Magesi FC, where he helped the club win the Motsepe Foundation Championship in the 2023/24 season to earn promotion to the Betway Premiership before contributing to their historic Carling Knockout Cup triumph in 2024.
Chicken Inn described Chirambadare's return as more than just another signing, saying the experienced forward brings leadership, quality and invaluable experience to the squad.
"His homecoming represents more than just another signing. It is the return of a player who understands the culture.
He comes back with invaluable experience gained over ten years of professional football, experience that will benefit both the senior players and the younger members of the squad," the club said.
The Gamecocks added that Chirambadare's quality in attack, leadership on the pitch and winning mentality will strengthen the side as they look ahead to the challenges of the second half of the season.

For Chirambadare, the move marks an emotional return to the club where his professional journey began.
"This moment is surreal for me, rejoining Chicken Inn FC is a coming back home moment, to inspire the youngsters, it's a moment of reflecting and it brings many memories – here I am at home and I assure the Gamecocks family the Spanner is back," Chirambadare said.
Nicknamed "Spanner", Chirambadare remains one of the most successful products of Chicken Inn's title-winning side, having gone on to establish himself in South African football while also earning senior national team caps with the Warriors.
His arrival is a major boost for coach Tonderai Ndiraya's side, which has been active in the transfer market as it seeks to improve its fortunes in the second half of the campaign.
Two weeks ago, The GameCocks signed Junior Makunike from Hardrock as they seek to improve their performance in the league.
