Head coach Nation Dube yesterday told NewsDay Sport that they are intensifying their preparations for the 2013 Premiership season.

“We are going to play Gwanda Ramblers in Gwanda tomorrow (today). We are going to have a two weeks training camp in Gwanda. We hope to play other teams like Tripple B as part of our preparations,” he said.

“We are going to use the match to test our new players. We always lose players to other teams but we have added three juniors instead of getting players from other teams. We do not want to take failures from other clubs. We do not want to take players who have been rejected by other clubs.”

Hwange finished the league fourth in 2011 but found the going tough last year and ended up fighting relegation.

The then head coach Tennant Chilumba quit the senior team to concentrate on the juniors before he joined FC Platinum early this year.

Dube was appointed head coach following the quitting of the Zambian coach.

Hwange lost players like former captain Aaron Katebe, goalkeeper PetrosMhari while striker Francisco Zvikumbawire could be heading to Dynamos for a season’s loan.
