MUSIC promoter Back Yard Entertainment is organising a potentially explosive silver jubilee birthday bash for Mbare-bred dancehall sensation, Kinnah, this Saturday at Mbare Netball Complex.

Speaking to NewsDay, event co-ordinator Blah Ray said all is set for the bash with artistes billed to perform promising fireworks at the bash.
“As a sign of gratitude, we have decided to organise a bash for Mr Mbare, (Kinnah) who will be turning 25 this Saturday as a way of celebrating his life. That will give fans a chance to celebrate together with their favourite musician,” Blah Ray said.
Mr Mbare as the Timbovatsiura singer is affectionately known by his fans said he was happy that there were promoters who appreciated his talent.
“It is every artiste’s desire to be appreciated for his or her works, I feel honoured and I want to thank promoters and partners who have faith in me for organising such a must-attend gig for all my fans as I celebrate a year older both in life and my career,” he said.
“As a way of honouring my fans, who have stood by me since the time I ventured into the industry, I promise them a polished performance.”
Born Maligakini Saizi, Kinnah will be joined in the celebration by more than 30 chanters among them Soul Jah Love, Hwindi President, Dadza D, Killer T, Lady Squanda, Lady Bee, Bounty Lisa, Ricky Fire, Sniper Storm, Freeman, Ras Caleb and Spiderman among others while on the turn tables will be DJ Templeman and Garry B, DJ Cables, DJ Ashaz, Fyah Lynx and Judgement Yard.

Kinnah, an admirer of Jamaican artistes in the mould of Vibes Kartel, Mavado and Busy Signal, launched his music career in 2000 and has since become a household name due to his ability to compose hit songs among them Mwari Wedenga, Zheti, Dai Mabatana, Vari badness, Kupera Tsoka, Wings from Jah and Mai Mwana that conveys several themes ranging from peace and solidarity which are receiving fair airplay on local radio stations while his shows are attracting favourable crowds.
He got much exposure in the Mbare suburb where most of the award-winning dancehall artists were bred, with Chill Spot Records providing him with the much-needed exposure.
