BORROWDALE Country Manor, located in the plush suburb of Borrowdale, is among the top wedding and concert venues in Harare and has developed a strong reputation for hosting weddings and, lately, music concerts.

The popular Unplugged Music Concert, where they hosted Oliver “Tuku” Mtukudzi’s album release, was the latest.
Operating under the management of George Machayangwa and Locadia Mutero, the setting of Borrowdale Country Manor offers a refreshing experience for conferences, corporate functions as accommodation services.
Machayangwa says they offer competitive rates and corporate packages, each designed to meet every one’s need.
“Borrowdale Country Manor offers an affordable one-stop shop for retreats, weddings, conferencing and lodging as we have various ceremony areas for selections that can accommodate a maximum capacity of about 1 000 guests depending on the gathering,” he said.
As a way of expanding their operations, they will also be hosting more music concert during the day (family shows) for music followers.
Machayangwa said in terms of a functions, there is a frequently used location for pitching a marquee for wedding receptions.

The venue does not have a permanently fixed pavilion for receptions. It will have to be hired in at a cost for the client.
“There are a variety of options to choose for functions at Borrowdale Country Manor. We have about 14 state-of-the-art rooms, all fully en-suite ideal for both couples and families with spacious duplex rooms, with queen and twin beds and unlimited wireless broadband internet access available,” Machayangwa said.
