POPULAR Ghanaian preacher, Dag Heward Mills jetted into the country yesterday for a month-long series of crusades in 14 towns and cities in Zimbabwe.

A medical doctor by profession and an author of many Christian books, Mills has ministered in 132 other crusades in different parts of the world.
“It is our duty to go into the world and preach the word of Christ and that is exactly what brings us here. We are not only coming to Harare, no, Zimbabwe is not only made up of Harare. I know Harare is the greatest city of Zimbabwe, but there are many poor people outside Harare, who are also important. That is why we try to get everywhere in the country to get an opportunity to preach the gospel to everyone,” he said at a Press conference in Harare.
Mills, who called himself an in-law of Zimbabwe, is married into the family of the late Sally Mugabe, President Robert Mugabe’s first wife.
The government pledged to give the campaign maximum support during the crusades.
Harare Provincial Affairs minister Miriam Chikukwa welcomed the Ghanaian preacher to Zimbabwe, saying the country recognised freedom of worship.
Several pastors and government officials also attended the Press conference. Mills will also hold a leadership session with pastors.
