NETONE has reinforced its role as a national development partner by combining community upliftment with high-level engagement aimed at strengthening Zimbabwe’s infrastructure and connectivity agenda.

As part of its annual Christmas Cheer Campaign, the telecommunications company over the weekend paid a courtesy visit to the Energy Minister, July Moyo, using the occasion to demonstrate both social responsibility and commitment to national progress.

The delegation, led by head of infrastructure and applications support engineering Tapiwa Paradza, accompanied by Midlands Province regional manager Thulisiwe Ndebele and public relations manager Ernest Magadzire, extended support to vulnerable groups through the donation of groceries to the elderly and orphans, underscoring NetOne’s people-focused development philosophy.

The engagement also created space for meaningful dialogue on enhancing cooperation to support national connectivity and the expansion of digital infrastructure.

Minister Moyo reaffirmed his ministry’s readiness to support NetOne’s mandate to connect underserved communities, noting the critical role of sustainable energy solutions in powering telecommunications infrastructure and accelerating digital advancement.

"The interaction highlights NetOne’s alignment with National Development Strategy 2 (NDS2) and its growing influence in driving technology-led national development," said NetOne PR Manager, Magadzire.

"As we broaden our reach, NetOne continues to champion the Digital Zimbabwe vision, in line with His Excellency President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa’s call to leave no place and no one behind."
